The world is full of suffering. It is also full of overcoming. – Helen Keler

Most of us could never imagine a life without our arms let alone pursue a career path that is generally dependent on a highly functional attached set of arms, hands and fingers.

The human spirit is truly indomitable, and some people seem to have super powers to overcome even the most extreme obstacles. People like Liu Wei are truly exceptional in their own right, so we express our thanks here to him for entertaining us and for serving as an Awesome example of perseverance and talent to the world.

A Chinese pianist who plays with his toes performed James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful” to a packed audience in Shanghai to win “China’s Got Talent.” All three judges were impressed with Liu Wei’s determination, and encouraged him to continue pursuing his dreams in music.

At least I have a pair of perfect legs.

“At least I have a pair of perfect legs.” he quipped, showing that his loss hadn’t also taken his sense of humor. And it looks like those perfect legs and toes may be opening doors as he gains recognition for his extraordinary talent. Not only was Liu invited to guest perform with Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai, but he also has a fair shot at a performing contract. Pretty Awesome!

“China’s Got Talent” is part of British recording executive Simon Cowell’s “Got Talent” franchise, which now has versions broadcasting in more than 30 countries.
